Visitor Weather Warning
Due to recent inclement weather, areas of our cemetery may be slippery and not to our usual standard. Lawn-mowing, topping up of graves, and general grounds upkeep are not as readily executed. We understand the inconvenience that these events are causing our families, communities and visitors. Please be assured that whilst contractors have been engaged to assist our staff with the clean-up, our priorities must remain with visitor safety, and providing quality funeral and memorial services to families. To ensure the safety of everyone on site some areas may be closed from time to time if they are identified as posing a greater risk and/or requiring extensive cleaning.
We encourage you to remain cautious and postpone your visit where possible.
Drone use in the cemetery
The following activities are prohibited (As per section 9.5(2) of the 2016) unless the prior written approval of the Administrator is obtained:
- Operating any photographic or video device for commercial purposes
- Flying of drones or similar.
Any person who carries out these activities is committing an offence and will be penalised.
