Story of Place – Field of Mars Cemetery

The dark forest that was once growing in the area today known as the Field of Mars, was once the home of the Wallamatta people, the river people, a sub-clan of the Cammeraygal.

Once again Dennis talks about his memory of place and reveals the meaning of Wallamatta.  It’s a special place, a place of connection for Dennis and as he says, protected by its use today as a cemetery by Northern Cemeteries.
